Summary:

The Court Reporter is responsible for providing accurate and complete verbatim transcripts of legal proceedings, including hearings, trials, depositions, and other related events. 4. Mark and annotate exhibits, case numbers, and other relevant information during proceedings to ensure proper identification in the transcript.
5. Verify accuracy of transcriptions by comparing the written record with audio recordings, when available.
6. Prepare and distribute certified copies of transcriptions to parties involved in the legal proceedings as required.
7. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and classified information obtained during court proceedings.
8. Collaborate with judges, attorneys, and other legal professionals to clarify and confirm the accuracy of recorded proceedings.
9. Stay updated with changes in legal terminology and procedures to ensure accurate transcription and comprehension of proceedings.
10. Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to stenotype machines, CAT software, and other transcription equipment.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification or training in court reporting is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Court Reporter or similar role.
3. Proficient in operating stenotype machines and other transcription equipment.
